| Over
the years the Akademi has acquired a small but specialized
collection of books on music, dance, and drama comprising
over 20,000 volumes. The books are chiefly in English
and Hindi, although several other Indian languages
are also represented, such as Marathi, Bengali and
Tamil. A number of journals of performing arts, Indian
and foreign, are available in the library; the files
of back numbers are especially useful to researchers.
The library also maintains files on personalities
in the performing arts, consisting of clippings from
newspapers and periodicals.
Timings
The library is open from 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. from
Monday to Friday.
Visitors
A minimum 15-20 users visit the library on any given
working day, making it one of the most sought after
special library.
Photostat
Photostat facilities are available at the library
on all working days.

Membership
A refundable library security deposit of Rs. 100/-
for bonafide students and Researches & Scholars.
Out station Scholars are exempted from the requirement.
Books Consulted
On an average 200 books are referred by members everyday.
