Outstation students seeking admission in the Advance Courses have to compulsorily stay in the hostel during their entire training period. Food facilities will be provided free of cost by the Kendra. The students will have to pay a token amount for the hostel given as follows:

Hostel Charges:

Rent seat - Rs. 200/- per month
Electricity & Water Charges - Rs. 35/- per month
Cleaning & Misc. Charges - Rs. 20/- per month
Medical Charges - Rs. 5/- per month
Hostel Security - Rs. 500/- (once in entire course)

Rules and regulations of the hostel

The hostel accommodation will be provided only for completion of one course. In any case, the hostel accommodation will not be provided to student who fails in the examination.

2. Admission to the students will be given on yearly basis. The boarder wishing to continue in the hostel has to apply afresh at the end of each academic session. While considering application of a boarder, her conduct in the hostel for the preceding year will be carefully reviewed. If it is found that one has not behaved in the desired disciplined manner, continuation in the hostel may not be permitted.

3. It will be compulsory for the boarders to have their food etc. in the Common Mess in the hostel. This will be a condition for getting accommodation in the Hostel. Preparing of tea, refreshment, meal etc. inside the rooms is prohibited.

4. A boarder is not expected to withdraw from boardership before the end of the academic session.

5. All inmates of the hostel will be bound by the disciplinary rules made from time to time. They are expected to maintain dignity and decorum conducive to harmonious community living.

6. Serving or consuming alcoholic drinks and smoking in the hostel is prohibited. Any violation of this rule will make the offender liable to be expelled from the hostel.

7. No student is allowed to remain in the hostel during the Summer Vacations (i.e. from 16 May – 30 June).

8. The parents of each student are required to send a list of persons:

(A) Name & the address of the person(s) who are allowed to visit the student at the hostel.
(B) Name & the address of the Local Guardian to whom the student can visit on weekends or holidays.
Students will be allowed to meet visitors only on Saturdays and Sundays between 8.00 – 10 a.m. and 6.00 – 8.00 p.m. in the Hostel's office.

9. No visitors will be allowed to enter the hostel rooms.

10. Only parents are allowed to stay with boarder for 3 days maximum twice in a session on payment of Rs.100/- per day per person as boarding charge.

Leave of absence etc.

1. Students while going outside the hostel and returning will sign and write the time in the register.

2. Students are expected to return to the hostel by 9.30 p.m. from March 15 to October 15, and by 9.00 p.m. from October 16 to March 14 Leave for being late should be obtained beforehand from the Warden / Director.

3. Students are not allowed to be absent for the night without written permission from the Director. Boarders violating this rule may be expelled from the hostel.

4. All applications for leave of absence from the hostel must be made in writing in advance to Director.

5. Every boarder on returning to the hostel after a period of leave exceeding three weeks must report to Director.

6. In a session, students can avail a leave of maximum 20 days.

Furniture and fixtures

1. Care of the room and of the furniture will be responsibility of the boarder. Boarders will be charged for any damage caused which is not due to fair wear and tear. Damage to hostel property may, when not traceable to individuals, be charged from all those in residence or if it occurs in a particular room, from the boarders concerned.

2. Before finally leaving the hostel, a student must obtain a certificate from the Warden that all the furniture and equipments provided to her in the room are in good condition.

3. No one shall tamper with electric and other fittings.

4. The inmates of a room shall switch off the lights and other electrical appliances before leaving the room, everyday.

5. Personal Electrical Appliances NOT allowed accept electric press.

Students violating the rules may be expelled from the hostel.
