Dr Vijay Kichlu, eminent scholar and musicologist from Kolkata, presented the audio educational series on
music conceived by him — “Authentic concept and systematic treatment of Ragas” — on 3 April 2006.
This should prove of immense value to musicians, scholars and all levels of students. The presentation
included a talk, demonstration and playback followed by discussion and interaction. The event, presented
at Meghdoot II, Rabindra Bhavan Complex, New Delhi, was attended by leading musicians like Smt.
