The Akademi held fortnightly performances of traditional puppetry and theatre during this period at Meghdoot Theatre Complex in Rabindra Bhavan, New Delhi. The following performances were held:

Bhand Pather

On 20 April 2006, Bhand Pather, a traditional theatre from Jammu & Kashmir, was presented by Abdul Rehman Khoja & Party of Qazi Kashmir Theatre, Bomai, Kupwara, at Meghdoot Theatre II, Copernicus Marg, New Delhi. The presentation concluded with
an interaction between the performing artists and the audience.
