A three day festival of Dogri folk theatre of the
Jammu region, organized by the Jammu & Kashmir
Academy of Arts, Culture and Language from 15 to 17
January 2007 at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu, was sponsored
by the Akademi.
Over 250 theatre artists representing various districts
of the region participated in the festival. The festival
had two sessions every day. The afternoon session
was devoted to presentation of papers and discussions
thereon. The evening session was for stage
presentations. Ghulam Mohammad, eminent Dogri folk
artist, chaired the valedictory session of the festival
on 17 January 2007. The programme follows:
